Moto GP 2006



The Xbox 360 can handle some of the most impressive graphics ever, and these graphical abilities are put to the test with THQ’s and Climax’s MOTO GP 2006 for the Xbox 360. The first bike racing game for the system, MOTO GP 2006 looks stunning, feels incredibly realistic, and includes some of the newest bikes, riders, and tracks. MOTO GP 2006 is the official game of the MOTO GP Championship, and as such, it includes many riders from the series, including the full lineup from the 2005 championship and season and many new riders, bikes, and tracks from the 2006 season. The 17 different GP tracks span the world and include courses in Shanghai, Laguna Seca, and Istanbul. Each course is photorealistic, making players feel like they’re actually racing through the streets of Istanbul. Once players have mastered these courses, there are 17 extreme mode street tracks to overcome, and these tracks focus on intense speed and racing. The game includes a number of different modes, including online play via Xbox Live. Here, up to 16 racers can compete at once, while other racers can watch in Spectator Mode or try their hand at commentary in Commentator Mode. Players who love MOTO GP racing won’t want to miss MOTO GP 2006. The graphics, gameplay, and large amount of officially licensed MOTO GP gear makes the game incredibly realistic and fun. Grab your helmet, start your bike, and give MOTO GP 2006 a spin.

Condemned: Criminal Origins


CONDEMNED: CRIMINAL ORIGINS by Sega is an intense first-person action game for the Xbox 360 that has players chasing after serial killers and solving murders while wondering about their character’s sanity. The game is presented in amazingly gritty detail that pulls players into the world of mystery. Ethan Thomas is part of the FBI’s Serial Crimes Unit, a group tasked with finding and capturing serial killers. When a new body is found in the bad part of town, Thomas is called in to take a look at the body. But before he knows what’s going on, he’s being fingered as a suspect and a madman has threatened to kill him. Now with few friends, Thomas must locate his lost pistol (the evidence being used against him), the strange madman, and unravel the mystery surrounding him while wondering about his own sanity. As Thomas searches for clues in abandoned buildings, dark alleys, and other locations, he will come up against a number of enemies. Fortunately, he can fight his way clear of them or pick up a number of different objects to use as weapons. Boards, metal pipes, and other objects can all be used to beat the heck out of the blood-crazed lunatics that attack Thomas. CONDEMNED: CRIMINAL ORIGINS isn’t a game for the weak-hearted or those who don’t like blood and gore. However, for players who enjoy crime scene shows and mystery novels, CONDEMNED presents a fascinating story that has more than a few shocking twists to it.

Bizarre Creations takes racing to a whole new level with PROJECT GOTHAM RACING 3 for the Xbox 360. The game has everything PROJECT GOTHAM RACING games have been known for, although it does cut down the huge number of cars and tracks somewhat. However, it more than makes up for this. Even though the third game doesn’t include as many licensed cars, it still has over 80 different vehicles to choose from, which is nearly three times the number of cars other racing games include. These cars range from Ferraris and Mercedes to Hondas and VW’s and include many of the fastest cars in the world. All are recreated in stunning detail. The game has several different modes. The main mode is career mode, in which players race to become the champion. There are several different racing types in career mode, including one-on-one, elimination rounds, and tournaments. Each race nets players extra cash to use in upgrading their cars or buying new ones. Online modes are also available. Unlike other games, the online career mode is more than just racing against others. The game keeps track of each player’s stats, wins, losses, and other factors, plus players can pick up extra money to customize their cars. PROJECT GOTHAM RACING 3 is, graphically, amazing. The tracks are incredibly detailed and the cars are perfectly recreated. No racing enthusiast will want to pass up this game.

Return to the exciting world of QUAKE with Activision’s QUAKE 4 for the Xbox 360. Called upon to defend earth from an alien invasion, gamers will find the fourth installment of QUAKE brings all the non-stop action and exciting gaming the previous entries in the series became known for. Picking up where the QUAKE II storyline left off, QUAKE 4 returns gamers to the battle against the alien Stroggos. Using their advanced alien science, the Stroggos have melded captured humans with machines, creating mindless drones who blindly obey their masters. As Matthew Kane, a member of Rhino Squad, gamers join their marine comrades on a key strike deep in the heart of Stroggos space. The desperate attack must succeed or earth will be doomed. As gamers battle their way through the alien fortress, they will find many of the weapons they’ve come to know and depend on plus some new ones. Two vehicles are also available: a hovertank and a robotic walker, both of which have weapons and regenerative shields. Another new addition is the appearance of Kane’s squad members. During some levels, players will have another squad member or two following them. While players can’t control these members, they will find the cover fire the marines provide very helpful. Of course, no QUAKE game would be complete without multiplayer levels, and QUAKE 4 has many, including remakes of classic QUAKE multiplayer maps. FPS gamers know what to expect with a QUAKE game, and QUAKE 4 won’t disappoint them.
