What is PeerBox™ Introducing PeerBox™PeerBox Mobile is a peer-to-peer file sharing service for the mobile devices.
With PeerBox you can search and download content from open P2P networks, access the vast Nareos content catalog, and watch videos on PeerBox Channels.
PeerBox is integrated with 3rd party Robust Audio Hashing (fingerprinting) technology to recognize copyrighted content and collect payments for it.



How to Use PeerBox™

Home Screen
PeerBox home screen gives access to various PeerBox screens. It’s the place where you can choose what you want to do with PeerBox.



PeerBox™ Search
Enter the Search screen to search the open P2P networks. Enter a search term by typing the name of the desired artist or item.
Push Options|Choose Category to choose what to search for: Music, Video, Pictures or Ringtones



After you finish entering the search term, select Options|Search. PeerBox will search the open P2P networks for you. After you get the list of files, you can browse through the list, view details for each file and choose one or more files to be downloaded to your device.



You can choose Options|Go to Downloads to see your files in the Downloads screen right away, of choose Options|Back To Home to return to the Home Screen. Note that a green arrow appears on the home page when you start downloading, and the number next to it indicates the number of files that are being downloaded.

Video Channels
PeerBox offers you a whole world of mobile video. The service comes with a host of professional video channels. Moreover, every user can create his or her own channel and upload videos right from the mobile phone. All the Channels functionality is available on the Channels screen that can be accessed by pushing the Channels button on the home page.



To search for videos, push the Search icon, enter your search criteria and choose Search from the Options menu. To search in specific fields, select Choose Criteria from the Options menu, and choose your criteria. After the search is complete, you can browse the search results.
You can view or download each movie, rate it or add it to your Favorites folder.



The Favorites folder holds the videos that you have marked as your favorite ones, while the Hot Picks folder holds the hottest videos chosen by our editing team.



To see the list of available PeerBox channels, push the Browse button. You can see the list of available channels, and the movies inside each channel. Each movie can be viewed, downloaded, rated, added to favorites and recommended to a friend.



Besides the various video function buttons, the Channels screen also shows several featured movies in the bottom row.

Uploading Your Own Videos
One of the most exciting things you can do with PeerBox is uploading your own videos and making them available to everybody. First of all, use your phone camera to record one or more movies. Then, push the Upload button on the Channels screen.
Create a new PeerBox Channels account or enter your existing nickname and password if you already have done so. Note that you will only be required to enter your username and password once. Choose the name, tags and category for your movie, and then choose Next from the Options menu. On the next screen, browse your video files, choose the one you wish to upload, and choose Next one more time.





In a snap, the file will be uploaded to PeerBox video repository and available for viewers.
Your movie will instantly appear in My Own channel. You can view your movie, and recommend it to your friends.



Song Identification
With Song Identification, you can hold the phone to any source of music anywhere, anytime, and have the music recognized for you. For example, you are at a noisy bar, and you suddenly hear that song that you heard before and really love but have no idea about who is singing and what the song name is. Grab your phone, open PeerBox, and push the Identify icon and then Record.



Hold the phone to the music for 15 seconds, and then select Identify from the Options menu. In a snap, the song information will appear on the screen. Now you can purchase the song and enjoy it on your mobile.



In some cases, we can identify a song, but it is not yet available for sale through PeerBox. In these cases, you can add the song to your own Wishlist so that we can let you know when the song becomes available. We will also offer you some songs similar to the song you have just identified.

Music Catalog
PeerBox comes with a vast catalog of music. You can browse music by Genre, Artist, Album or Period. We also make New Releases and Featured Albums available to you. Choose the music you like, and acquire it on your phone. Before you purchase an item, you might want to listen to a short clip of the song. Just choose Listen from the Options menu, and hear for yourself!





Ringtone Catalog
PeerBox also boasts a great collection of premium ringtones available for sale. Push the Ringtone icon on the home page, choose a genre, and pick a ringtone you like. In several moments the ringtone will be downloaded right to the device.



Bonus Catalog
Besides the regular catalog, PeerBox also has a vast bonus catalog.
Recommend PeerBox to your friends, and earn Bonus Tracks from the Bonus catalog.



The bonus catalog can be browsed by Genres or Artists, and New Releases and Hot Picks are also at your disposal. Pick the tracks you like and download them for free!

Like PeerBox? Share it with friends!
Use the handy Invite screen to let your friends know about PeerBox. Push the blue megaphone icon on the Home Screen. Enter your friend’s phone number and push the Send button. You can also choose a number from your phone book by choosing Options|Add Recipient.
Then, choose Send from the Options menu, and an SMS message will be sent to the number you just entered. The SMS contains a link to PeerBox installation.



You will be instantly gratified by 5 songs from our Bonus Catalog.
If you happen to like a song, a video or any other content item, and think your friends will like it too; PeerBox gives you a convenient way to share with them.
While browsing a content item, choose Recommend from the Options menu. Enter your friend’s number, or choose one from your phone book.
An SMS with your recommendation will be sent to the friend. If your friend already has PeerBox installed, he or she will get the message inside PeerBox, too. When the friend opens the message in PeerBox, they will see the details of the recommended item, and will be able to download it.



Messaging
With PeerBox, you can get messages both from your friends and from the PeerBox team.
Whenever you have unread messages, the messages icon on the home page will flash. Opening the list of messages shows your PeerBox inbox. Messages can be textual, or contain links to content items.



Downloads Screen
All your current and past downloads can be seen in the Downloads screen. For each file, you can see its download status and its size. Push Options|Details to see more details on the files.
Artist, album and track names, as well as the album art, are shown for recognized files.
We are currently integrating an Audio Fingerprinting component that is capable of identifying copyrighted songs that are being downloaded from the peer-to-peer networks. Songs identified as copyrighted will be offered for sale and PeerBox users will not be allowed to download them for free.
